Limetree Introductions is a local, Portsmouth-based, matchmaking service that curates matches for their clients no matter their sexual orientation, age, race, etc. They came to DARCI Creative looking for a fresh brand identity and web design in order to generate more leads and stand out from their competitors. It was important to the client to incorporate some kind of mark that reflected the heart-shaped leaf of the Limetree and incorporate a sage green into their color palette.

The results yielded in a few different logo options, but this one in particular, that focused on the exclusivity and curated, one-of-a-kind experience you get when you become a client of Limetree Introductions. The hand-drawn, heart-shaped limetree leaf is paired with a very modern but playful sans serif and a clean slab serif typeface to create a friendly, welcoming, but exclusive brand identity. The relatively androgynous color palette consists of a beautiful sage green, charcoal grey, dusty rose, and a vintage mustard yellow. It was important that this color palette was not too “feminine” as the client expressed how important it was that her brand be magnetic towards both men and women. It comes off as sophisticated, professional, and romantic. The tagline is also my brain child which I am really happy with - it just really clicked with this brand direction and came full circle, using the leaf and then getting that pay-off in the tagline.

The logo has a submark as well that can be used as an abbreviated logo mark on social media, for example, to help maintain brand recognition across various deliverables. It can be also seen on the website mockups provided below, used in the header area where space is limited in this specific template.

Some social media template/photo research examples to use on social media - the idea is that having text overlayed would be minimal and the focus would be on showing images of couples, with an occasional Q+A type post.
